Maxine King

Maxine King has her Master of Arts degree from Rutgers University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. She has many additional credits in Creative Arts at the doctoral level, Rutgers University. Maxine is a retired elementary school art teacher, having practiced teaching for the past thirty years in the New Jersey and Massachusetts school systems.

Ms. King numerous awards are from The American Artists Professional League, Art Alliance, Somerset Art Association, New Jersey Center for the Visual Arts, Watchung Arts Center, and The Westfield Art Association, Middlesex County and NJ Statewide Senior shows’ first place winner in Mixed Media. She has had four one-person shows and has monitored life drawing at the Center for Contemporary Art for over a dozen years.

King has numerous articles and photographs of her work published in/by The Daily Record, The Home News, Insight (Montclair State University), The News Tribune, The Printmaking Council of New Jersey, The Star-Ledger, and Two River Times.
