Sven Widen
Sven Widen grew up in the small medieval town Vastervik on Sweden's Eastcoast. After graduating University, he obtained classical art training at the School for Industrial Art & Design, KV Art School, Hovedskou, Gustavus Primus and Studio Litografik in Gothenburg. He won scholarships to study advanced lithography, copper and intaglio techniques in Invitational Courses held around Sweden while pursuing a career as a professional artist. His work has been exhibited in many solo, group and juried exhibitions in this country and Sweden.

Sven's paintings are held in many public and private collections in both countries. Sven and his wife, Lizzi Schippert, teach ongoing art classes at Art Alliance in all classical drawing and painting techniques and Plein Air Workshops.
