Books are not just for reading. You can kill spiders with them, sit on them, burn them, shred them, hoard them, give them away, put them in a birdcage, or make a table out of them. My life-long love of books is what has led me to become a book sculptor. At first it was difficult to cut them apart to create my visions, but ultimately I realized that within every book there lies a seed, and that it is up to me to water it, feed it and give it psychic sun until it grows into some fantastic something! As a teacher I have always respected books and treated them with kindness and care. As a sculptor I do the same by taking them apart and reassembling the pages and the text and the spines and the covers into something entirely unique. That is my vision. I hope you enjoy it.
